There are lots of things we can do to understand more about hedgehogs and how we can help to protect one of our favourite garden visitors.
Hedgehog numbers have declined rapidly in recent years, the more we can find out about where they live, what they eat and what dangers they face, the more we will be able to help protect this endearing creature.

“An adult hedgehog can eat half a can of dog or cat food per night plus a few dog or cat biscuits and the best time to put the food out is just before dusk”

You can get plenty of information from our website about how hedgehogs get through the year and what makes life hard for them. Just click on some of the menu options to learn more.
There is also an excellent booklet available from the Royal Horticultural Society, you can view it here.
